Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how DISCGO TECH - FZCO, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (DiscGo, we, us), the controller of your personal data, collects, uses, shares and protects it when you use the DiscGo mobile app, our website, including the venue pages you can open from a venue code, or contact us (together, the Services). We process personal data in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Our Terms of Use, at https://www.discgo.co/terms-and-conditions, govern your use of the Services.
This Policy does not cover the merchants, partner platforms, banks, card issuers, loyalty programmes, app stores or sign-in providers you deal with through the Services. They have their own privacy policies. If you run a business listed on DiscGo, the DiscGo Business Merchant Privacy Notice we give you at registration applies to that relationship.

1. What we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
Account and profile details: your name, email address, mobile number when you sign in with a one-time code, your date of birth and country of residence if you choose to give them, how you sign in, and an optional profile image or display name. When you sign in with Apple or Google, they send us your name, email address (or a private relay address) and an identifier. We never receive or store your passwords, and one-time codes are not kept after use.
Your wallet: the cards, memberships, loyalty and benefit programmes you add, including the programme name, type and tier, and what you do with them in the app. We never collect card numbers, security codes, PINs, bank or programme logins or account numbers, and adding a programme does not connect DiscGo to it.
How you use the Services: what you view, search, save, mark, set and share in the app and on our venue pages, and how you move through them.
Device and technical data: device model and operating system, app version, browser type, language and time zone, IP address, crash reports and performance data.
Location: your approximate location from your IP address and, only if you allow it, your precise location from your device, which we use to show offers and venues near you. You can turn precise location off in your device settings at any time; we do not track your location in the background.
Advertising identifiers (your device’s advertising ID), only where you allow it. We use them to measure which invites and campaigns lead to installs, and we ask for your permission before using them for personalised advertising. On iOS, Apple’s tracking prompt appears when you first invite a friend.
Communications: what you send us by in-app support, email or any other channel, including attachments, and our replies.
Visitors without an account: when you open a venue page on our website from a venue code, we store an anonymous identifier in your browser so the page can remember the venues you have opened and saved. It is not linked to your name unless you later sign in.
Information from others: sign-in providers, app stores (installs, subscriptions, refunds, fraud checks), our technology providers (technical logs and metrics), affiliate networks (whether a click or code from DiscGo led to a purchase or sign-up, with its date, value and reference, not your identity) and, occasionally, partners, to resolve a technical issue.
DiscGo is free to use: we never process payments or ask for card details. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, such as health or biometric data or religious or political views, or personal data about anyone under 18. Please do not include such data in messages to us.
2. How we use it
We use personal data to:
run the Services: create and manage your account, your wallet and your saved offers, and show you offers and venues;
personalise what you see, for example by your programmes, categories, age band, country and, with your permission, location;
show and measure advertising and sponsored content, prevent ad fraud and limit how often you see the same ad, which is what keeps DiscGo free;
keep the Services secure, prevent misuse and fraud, and find and fix problems;
produce aggregated statistics about how people use DiscGo, for us and for partners, from which no one can be identified, and improve the Services;
reply to you, provide support and send service messages such as sign-in codes, security notices and policy updates;
send you news and offers about DiscGo where you have agreed or the law otherwise allows, which you can stop at any time; and
comply with the law, keep required records and enforce our Terms.
Depending on the processing, our legal basis is our contract with you, your consent, our legal obligations, the protection of your interests and those of others, or statistical purposes. We ask for your consent before marketing messages, tracking and personalised advertising, and you can withdraw it at any time. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you by automated means alone.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed with:
service providers that host our systems, provide analytics and crash reporting, sign-in and one-time codes, email, messaging and support tools, maps and location services, install and campaign measurement and advertising delivery;
affiliate networks and partner merchants, which receive limited technical and attribution data when you follow a link or use a code from DiscGo, but not your name, email address or phone number, and use it under their own privacy policies;
partners and merchants, which receive only aggregated statistics, such as how often their offers were viewed or saved, that do not identify you;
courts, regulators and other authorities when the law requires it; and
a buyer or successor of our business, on the same terms.
Our providers are bound by contract to protect your data and use it only for us. A list of the main ones is available on request. When you buy from or sign up with a merchant or platform, they process your data under their own privacy policy.
4. Where your data is kept
Our servers and some of our providers are outside the UAE, so your data is transferred abroad. We do this under contractual safeguards or another mechanism the law allows.
5. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as the purposes above require:
account data while your account is active; after you delete your account, we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period unless we must keep some of it for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal-claim reasons;
technical logs, crash reports and advertising and attribution events for a limited period, in line with our security needs and contracts;
support correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up; and
the anonymous identifier on our venue pages for six months from your last visit, unless it is linked to your account first.
Aggregated and anonymised data, which no longer identifies you, may be kept longer.
6. Security
We protect personal data with measures that fit the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring and contractual security obligations on our providers, and we avoid storing passwords altogether. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell the regulator and you as the law requires.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to the conditions in the law, you may ask for information about our processing and access to your data; ask us to correct, complete, erase or restrict it; object to processing, including direct marketing and profiling; ask for a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent. Write to hello@discgo.co; we will verify your identity first. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office through the channels on its official website.
You can also: update or delete your account and profile in the app; opt out of marketing through unsubscribe links, app settings or device notification settings; turn location access on or off in your device settings; allow or withdraw tracking on iOS in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and reset or limit your advertising ID in your Android settings; and manage cookies in your browser. Turning some settings off may limit features.
If you would rather we did not use your data for usage analytics, crash and performance diagnostics, or marketing and attribution measurement, email hello@discgo.co and we will switch it off for your account or device, keeping only what is needed for security and to run the Services.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly, remember your preferences and measure use. The app uses software from our providers for analytics, crash reporting, sign-in and measurement.
9. Children
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact hello@discgo.co and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We update this Policy when our practices or the law change. The current version and its date are always published at https://www.discgo.co/privacy-policy, and we tell you about material changes through the app, our website or email. A change that needs your consent applies to you only once you have given it.
